PERSONALITY
Gap moe can perfectly surmise Xingqiu. With a reputation for being studious and well-mannered, many residents of Liyue Harbor wish their own children to show as much promise as the young master of The Feiyun Commerce Guild; by contrast, Xingqiu hides away his true character only for his close associates to know. A lover of literary works and valiant deeds, he not only pursues martial arts but also aspires to become an author. Presently his novel has gained fame in Inazuma and Fontaine, while he can craft together literature his own handwriting is known to be completely illegible — a match to his poor singing skills.
Pride (and shame) has led Xingqiu to seek aid from the Geo Lord to improve his singing and to hide away his unsightly signature to the point of deception; spending a whole day practicing calligraphy to deliver a single stylish autograph.
While Xingqiu is clever and talented, showing great ability to manage his post in the family business, he lacks interest. Preferring to spend his time reading and pursuing his hobbies, Xingqiu is troubled by the knowledge of the expectations placed upon him. Conscious that the heir (his older brother) may not be up to par for the position his sentiment is that he will be burdened by his sibling's job. This difficult position has caused him to view deer favorably as a symbol of rebirth wishing to return to his more carefree days.
Generally, Xingqiu is genial and civil, even if under that layer of polite manners he is a mischievous boy with a passion for heroic tales and deeds as he seeks to uphold his own values. Maintaining a belief that one must do what must be done for Xingqiu this means helping the good and the kind.
APPEARANCE
A short fair-skinned young man hailing from Liyue, Xingqiu's hair is short with asymmetrical bangs. He wears an outfit called Azure silk. He has a blue earring with a gold tassel on his right ear, and he wears his vision pinned to the bottom of the left side of his coat.

yesGo ahead — although how receptive Xingqiu is depends on the character making contact with him. While hugs, cuddles, may be remain awkward in most cases he won't make his discomfort obvious. He'll also accept headpats much to his chagrin. Honestly, if he needs to be touched go for it.

yesWhile Xingqiu won't avoid physical affection if others are willing to press their luck, it's only done out of some sense of politeness, nothing more. It's very unlikely that he will initiate it, the only chance of course that this may play out differently is the level of friendship he has with someone. While he may seem open, and friendly, again it's all due to him putting on the formal face of a well-mannered and educated boy. — But yes, go ahead and try your luck.

As he attempts to fill his life with books, along with penning a novel of his own, there is also time spent exploring and traveling as he lends his aid to those in need, all the while avoiding his actual occupation of you know managing the silk trade. He isn't a stranger to relationships, he has friends, but on a more romantic level? He has read enough frivolous romance books to fill his imagination, he lacks experience but... be warmed though once he sinks his claws in, he won't let go — get past his crusty polite facade then his geekiness.

While Xingqiu lacks a confirmed canon age, it's more than likely he is in his late teens, for simplicity's sake and because it is such a contentious age range I'll be making him seventeen years old. So if that's okay then read on. Being intimate is tricky for Xingqiu, he has ideals and needs to fulfill before most can find themselves at this point with him, and even then somehow he has expectations. Yeah, lack of experience won't keep him from wanting some idealized version of intimacy.
