My Self-Summary

I am nothing more than a humble literature enthusiast who has now become another guest of this resort. While I lack any exceptional skills or noteworthy talents, I am nevertheless willing to assist anyone in need. Additionally, I would like to request some book recommendations. That's all I am using this thing for.

My Future Plans

I've elected to attempt to read as many normal books found in Swan Lake (if they catch my interest). Otherwise, I'll plan to make visits to The Conservatory. Admittedly I found the giant rabbits to be rather charming.

My Talents

I have no noteworthy talents.

Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and Food

Mr. Nine is a highly acclaimed and popular author, many years were spent searching for the last volume of Legend of the Shattered Halberd. It did not disappoint. I would rank that novel among my favorites. The truth is I enjoy all types of martial arts novels. As for music, I favor Ms. Yun performances and her talents extend beyond song.

When it comes to food I prefer pastries and Yue-style cuisine. During my stay in Inazuma, I also came to enjoy the foods that nation had to offer. Mild seafood-based dishes with minimal seasoning and lighter flavors are definitely to my liking.

My Ideal Partner

Perhaps I will be fortuitous enough to cross paths with a sentient book; then the book and I can go on all sorts of adventures and get into all kinds of hijinks.

How about uncanny? At the onset of sunset, as the twilight hour begins, an uncanny atmosphere settles in with the night.

Again, I think it is better understood with experience. Perhaps I may not be so normal if I am willing to continue my nightly visits.

Uncanny, got it. There have been a few uncanny places here that I’ve noticed. That does make sense. Have you noticed the strange activity in the casino?

You’re talking about books and not kinks so you’re normal enough for me.

Not at all, although admittedly that has less to do with what may be found in the gambling parlor and more so that I've found no need to make many visits to that location. However, if you want to investigate the casino further, then like most I do have plenty of time to spare.

Oh. Well, that's a low bar. Most people... that's right, I have to take into consideration where we are.

If you're interested in looking into the supernatural. I'm pretty sure I noticed something strange during that masquerade but it was too crowded to tell. I'd like to look back into it, and that's at least something I know about. If you want to come that's okay with me.

Fine. Tomorrow night. Activity is always stronger at night… or whatever counts as night inside. We don’t know what time it really is. You ever get the chance to look out?

Yeah. Couldn’t tell you what, though.

That seems to be the common theme with the library, suppose if we were to visit more locations then perhaps this might be true of all places. There is only one way to know for sure. As for getting a glimpse of the outdoors, well, my room doesn't have windows.

The view outside from other locations, it's static, it may as well be a portrait of a landscape.

About this resort, recall I mentioned what it caters to. Have you noticed some guests' unabashed enthusiasm? What would you say if I told you that people are somehow enticed to participate? That in some way or another all their interest turns towards that direction? Or they seem to vanish, well, there is something that suggests as much anyway.

I have a window but I think it’s fake. It only shows a picture.

I’m not surprised. People always like to drink and gamble… even back where I’m from. My own father was like that. I don’t know about people vanishing though. Did you lose someone?

For now, all we can do is assume that's the case for all windows as it would be impossible to verify this.

Everything in moderation, including moderation. Yet it feels impossible considering the game. Although it's not much of a game is it? You don't have to drink or gamble, or at least it doesn't feel like the staff is as pressed for people to partake in those pastimes.

And no. I haven't lost anyone. You could say my friends back in Liyue have lost me instead.

Of course, we can still attempt to check every single window, but again that is likely impossible. Actually, I've been thinking about this too. Have you found any method that leads out of the resort? Most maps indicate different locations but there doesn't seem to be an exit.

As for Liyue, that is the land I hail from, perhaps I should ask about where you originally came from as it is obvious that we come from completely different worlds.

Not yet. There is a place I want to check out, though, since it sounds like it should have an entrance or exit. Have you heard of a parking garage? They have one here. From what I understand, it would make sense for there to be an exit there since vehicles are meant for transportation.

… I do. I’ve spent a lot of time reading, when I was on my own. It’s a good distraction.

Japan. Yeah, I’ve already met people from a few different places. That’s probably the most digestible part about any of this place.

Not yet? There is a sense of confidence in two short words. Well, it is too early to give up. As for this parking garage, I may have seen some directions, but I take it you already know where to find it? In that case, since I already agreed to accompany you in seeking the supernatural I can also follow you in search of an exit and a means of escape.

And if things go south, well, there is plenty of reading material in the library to keep us occupied.

As for Japan. This is my first time hearing of it. Although I wouldn't be surprised to meet others who also hail from that land.

Yeah, I saw some moving stairs heading downward from the main lobby. People were talking about their cars, which I've heard of before. They involve transportation, so I'm thinking that exploring them can give us some answers.

Really? I guess that's not strange, since we're all from different places. I've met other people from Japan but from different times... it's a lot to take in.

Their cars? I'll assume these are a type of vehicle. In any case, we may as well go have a look, I would say we have plenty of leisure time unless the staff decides to host some other celebration with mandatory attendance.

Thinking about it I may have spoken to others from that land although I would have to verify that information to be completely sure, well, that's not important now. Just be sure to reach out to me when you have an idea of when you want to visit the parking garage.

How about tomorrow? Or the day after. Midnight. Should be late enough. Day hours seem to be quieter, which is weird too... how the hell do they know if it's day or night?

There are various activities offered here at the resort; shouldn't you specify what you have no interest in? Or is the possibility that they may target you what keeps you from going into detail? You know you might have me believe that you don't enjoy social gatherings.

Not to imply that there is anything wrong with that.

As for when day or night truly falls, we may never know, although this might not be so healthy for an extended period. Have you seen some of the long-time guests?

I don’t enjoy social gatherings. That’s true. I’d rather avoid any of it. Feels like speaking it, or typing it, will make it happen.

Yeah, they don’t look well. They could use some time in the sun. Probably too much drinking and partying all night long.

That's unexpectedly forthright. The truth is I expect there will be many future social functions. It's best to prepare, that is unless you want to take chances with their threats. Admittedly I am curious though not enough to decline an invitation to any celebration. Some things will always be unavoidable.

Partying all night? Some of them seem to be partying all the time. But sunlight would be nice not just for them.
